#10 LP4 // Ratatat

#9 Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes // Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes

#8 Foxy Shazam // Foxy Shazam

#7 Contra // Vampire Weekend

#6 Future Weather // The War on Drugs

#5 Innerspeaker // Tame Impala

#4 This is Happening // LCD Soundsystem

#3 Bliss Release // Cloud Control

A fantastic indie-pop sound with warm bass, danceable drums, lovely vocals and some constantly changing guitar kept Bliss Release a fresh and interesting listen with great hooks that kept me coming back for more each day. Even better? They’re Australian. Love that…

#2 Interpol // Interpol
Personally, I adored this album. The power and passion that are integral tools of Interpol’s delivery truly shone through on this release, and the beautifully told story arc of emotions granted much more than mere enjoyment of an album, it expressed depth and power like nothing i’d heard this year.

 #1 Congratulations // MGMT

If there was one thing that I loved the most about Congratulations is that it showed the evolution that MGMT has undergone since their release of Oracular Spectacular and the dedication they have to a very unique sound that they could really call their own. Through and through, an incredible release from a frighteningly talented band.
